REPERTOIRE - REPERCUSSION

In the  season of 2022/2023 Repercussion presents the following artistic programs to the audience:

RHYTHM - IT'S FASCINATING!

The title of the concert comes from the song of Georg Gershwin - Fascinating Rhythm, which was extremely popular in the first half of the 20th century. This time is also the expansion of jazz - with its unique rhythm in which drums and percussion played a huge role! The concert program consists of songs presenting popular jazz styles - ragtime, swing, bebop or fusion,  and outstanding composers -  S.Joplin, H.Mancicni, Ch. Corea.

IN 80 BEATS AROUND THE WORLD / ETHNO & CLASSIC
The concerts presenting contemporary percussion literature inspired by ethnic music. Concert programs  contain songs referring to traditional music from South America, Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans. Traditional rhythms and melodies permeated by the filter of modern composer techniques, further backed by the richness of percussion instruments,  are surprasing the originality and their artistic potential. In the programs include: A. Disanza Time's Arc, Ch. Fellinger Ubik 440 ,D. Friedman Hand Dance, E. Kopetzky African Winds, N. Rosauro Mitos Brasileiros, M. Rutkowski Taste of the Desert.

LIVINGROOM MUSIC / JUNK MUSIC
An artistic project, which is a contemporary development of the avant-garde trend of the 1960 s called the "instrumental theater". Livingroom Music  and Junk Music are  concerts with elements of theater (light, choreography, acting), in which everyday objects become transformed into full instruments. The following compositions were used in the concerts: J. Cage Melody , F. Bach 4 Bodies Music, S.G. Schmidt In the Office, W. Reifeneder Ball percussion, J. Muzioł Kitchen Music , M. Dahms Build, R. Filz Beam Me Up.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
An important role in the band's activities is the popularization of percussion. As part of our educational activities, we perform a variety of forms: workshops, educational concerts.
